I used to think I wanted to write the games. I wanted to write technical documents, the story, and make the game come to life. As my writing and my passion for the industry has grown, however, I find that my true love lies in the way the industry works and in the work of all of the great companies and people that fill the industry and entertain us. I still write the games, but now I do it as a hobby. The DP Challenge bears the blame for much of this change, but that's a good thing.
I love seeing the way Hideo Kojima plays with technology. Clint Hocking is amazing to learn from and hilarious to listen to. I find I can't limit myself to one company, one design philosophy, and one game. I want to experience it all and share it with others.
My true passion lies in the industry itself, as a whole. I enjoy watching the trends and live for the day when we have gaming rooms that rival the home theater experience. I'd love to see truly immersive gameplay and experiences that go beyond anything we've seen before. I truly believe we have the technology right now to create that. We only need a Movement~"Imagineers" of gaming experience, if you will.
My favorite games are the Final Fantasy franchise for it's esoteric qualities and stunning visuals, the Metal Gear Solid franchise for it's stories, and Bioshock is the most immersive game I've ever played. Susan O'Connor is my personal hero for that game alone. The one, single game that blows them all away for me is Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core. The Final Fantasy VII game is historical; the prequel took far too long, but was totally worth the wait. The graphics are stunning and the story reminds me of why Sephiroth is the best game character ever, in my humble opinion. I'm a Sony gal...I own a PS2, PS3, Move and two PSPs.
